“Causes are typically the same, so it’s repetitive movement, and you do not have to play tennis or golf to get either of them,” explains Dr. Nash.
Both tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow are primary overuse injuries resulting from repetitive strain on the forearm musculature. When the tendons are subjected to continuous micro-trauma without sufficient time to rest and repair, localised inflammation and tendinopathy develop.
