Does Chiropractic hurt?

Some people are apprehensive about seeking chiropractic treatment because they think that it is going to hurt or they have heard stories about people getting their "bones cracked". Chiropractic treatment does not have to involve any clicking or cracking at all! Although we all like to tell a good fear inducing story, chiropractic treatment is very safe and can be as gentle as you would like.

What this "cracking of the bones" is referring to, is the audible (click) produced from the synovial joint fluid as gas bubbles are released in response to movement of a joint. This phenomenon is quite natural, it is not painful and may often occur spontaneously during normal life as well.

We work using gentle joint adjusting techniques and soft tissue muscle releases. We encourage patients to take an active role in the treatment that they receive and we appreciate any feedback or preferences.
